Independence of regulators increases quality of regulation - New CERRE study
CERRE has published a new study on the independence, accountability and percieved quality of national regulatory authorities (NRAs). The study has been carried out by Prof. Pierre Larouche, former CERRE Joint Academic Director and professor at Tilburg University and the College of Europe, Dr Chris Hanretty, researcher and lecturer in Politics at the University of East Anglia, and Prof. Andreas Reindl, professor at Leuphana University.
The main findings of the study have been presented by Prof. Bruno Liebhaberg, Director General of CERRE, and Prof. Pierre Larouche at a press conference on 8 May 2012 in Brussels.

On 31 May 2012, CERRE will organise a CERRE Regulation Forum and CERRE Expert Workshop on the same subject where the study findings will be presented by the authors and discussed by various high-level participants.
